Denver officers responded to the fatal shooting in the 5800 block of Tower Road at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from the police department.

Investigators believe a 17-year-old boy, whom police have not publicly identified because of his age, was arguing with a man in the area before shooting him, police said. The teenager was later arrested in the 5800 block of North Ceylon Street, less than a mile away from the shooting and roughly 5 miles from Denver International Airport.

Paramedics took the man to the hospital, where he died, police said. He will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
