A boating accident in Chatfield State Park sent one person to the hospital on Saturday, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

State wildlife officers responded to a boating accident near a dam on the southeast corner of Chatfield Reservoir shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Wildlife officers found an adult with life-threatening injuries on board the boat, according to the release. The officers took the victim to the dock, where paramedics with South Metro Fire Rescue then took the boater to the hospital, state wildlife officials said.

Information about the boater’s injuries and what led up to the accident was not immediately available on Sunday.
