Two Belcaro mansions top June home sales, each selling for over $8 million

Two Belcaro homes were the priciest to sell in the Denver area in June.

Taking the No. 1 spot was the five-bedroom home on Cedar Avenue, which sold for its $8.5 million list price June 3.

The 8,075-square-foot mansion in Cedar Estates features steel, glass and wood finishes, a private elevator, and a kitchen with Wolf appliances and a Caesarstone island.

The backyard includes a pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, and fire features, creating a space for relaxing or entertaining.

Designed by BOSS Architecture and built in 2018, the home last sold for $7.9 million in 2022.

Sellers Michael McCallister and Virgil Seibold listed the mansion for $8.5 million in February. The pair, principal figures behind real estate education firm The CE Shop, purchased an $8 million mansion elsewhere in Belcaro in March.

The buyer is listed as the 2026 Maahs Distrust Trust.

Josh Behr of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty represented both sides of the deal.

Based on MLS data, here are the next four most expensive home sales in the Denver area for June:

South University Boulevard, Denver: $8.2 million

Details: This English Country estate sold June 11 for 9% above its $7.5 million list price.

Tucked into more than 2 acres inside the gated, guard-patrolled enclave of Polo Club, the 12,769-square-foot home features a slate roof and a stone façade.

Inside, the home has coffered ceilings and stone fireplaces, while outside, it includes a pool house and manicured gardens.

Seller Alexander Wiegers is the managing partner of Wiegers Capital Partners LLC, a family-owned private equity and investment advisory firm. He founded the company with his father, George, who has since died. The sale of George Wiegers’ $10 million Cherry Creek penthouse topped local home sales in October.

The buyer is listed as South UNI LLC.

Lynn Road, Cherry Hills Village: $8 million

Details: Built in 2015, the home delivers mountain views, a wine cellar and a private library across 11,787 square feet. French doors pull in natural light from every angle, while the primary suite faces south, straight at the peaks that give this address its bragging rights.

A media lounge, fitness studio with sauna, and sprawling flex spaces round out the lower level, in case six bedrooms and nine bathrooms weren’t already enough room to spread out.

Sellers Stephen and Morgan Smith bought the home in 2018 for $4.9 million. They listed it for $7.8 million in April.

Stephen Smith is a partner at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, a Los Angeles, California-based investment firm managing more than $41 billion in assets.

The buyer is NF Residence LLC.

S. Lafayette Lane, Cherry Hills Village: $7.4 million

Details: This Old Cherry Hills home sold June 24 for just under its $7.6 million asking price.

The 8,084-square-foot residence, built in 1986 by Denver’s Harrison Custom Homes, features traditional architecture alongside modern updates, including a white marble kitchen island and a renovated guest house with a fireplace and wet bar.

The property also features a bluestone patio with a built-in pizza oven and a screened potager garden.

The seller was the James S. Angell Revocable Trust. Angell is an environmental attorney who formerly headed Earthjustice’s Denver office.

The buyer is listed as the M&B Joint Trust.

Spruce Street, Broomfield: $6.5 million

Listing agent: Claire Gilmore of MB Kell & Co.

Buyer’s agent: Nicole Soldow of HomeSmart Realty

Details: Built in 2025 on 1.8 acres, the house landed just shy of its $6.8 million list price.

The 9,295-square-foot home features 14-foot ceilings, a Thermador-equipped chef’s kitchen and a second pocket kitchen built for entertaining.

A walkout basement adds a game room, a media room and a wellness center. Plus, the home also features an oversized five-car garage and a separate pool house.

Seller Thomas Ray sold the home to Charles and Patricia Brewer.
