Pizzeria Lui, 5380 W. Mississippi Ave., in Lakewood, opened in 2017 after Zach Parini left his job as a baker at Golden’s Grateful Bread to dig into the world of Neapolitan-style pizzas with a counter-service restaurant. In 2020, business picked up significantly as people got take-out pies during the pandemic. Parini’s shop was only open from 3 to 9 p.m., though, so he could protect his family time.
“It is with gratitude that we share, that after 10 years, Pizzeria Lui is closed,” the store posted on Instagram on Friday. “We thank you for your loyalty and appreciation over the years. It has been wonderful getting to know each and every customer. Thank you to the team at Pizzeria Lui for your hard work and dedication. We look forward to spending time with our families.”
