The hawk had a broken pelvis and shoulder and was taken to the Birds of Prey Foundation rehabilitation center, a Broomfield-based nonprofit that has helped 255 birds so far this year, according to its website. The young hawk is now stable and eating on its own, and the rehabilitation team is hopeful it will recover, according to the Sheriff’s Office post.
