Hundreds of flights headed in and out of Denver International Airport were delayed on Sunday, partially fueled by an hour-long ground stop for “airport volume.”

The Federal Aviation Administration issued the ground stop at Denver International Airport shortly before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, citing the airport’s high volume of flights, according to the agency. The ground stop, which impacted flights scheduled to arrive at DIA, was lifted at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
As of 5:45 p.m., 356 flights arriving at and departing from DIA had been delayed, and two had been canceled, according to flight-tracking software FlightAware.

Delays included 167 Southwest flights, 87 United flights, 37 SkyWest flights, 19 Delta flights, 14 American Airlines flights and 13 Frontier flights, according to FlightAware. Another eight airlines delayed between one and five flights.
Southwest and Frontier each canceled one flight, FlightAware data shows.
