A climber was rescued last week from a mountain north of Golden after their equipment failed, Arvada fire officials said.

The climber’s equipment malfunction left them unable to ascend or descend from their spot on North Table Mountain, according to a social media post from Arvada Fire on Saturday. Agency officials did not specify the date of the rescue operation.
Crews from Arvada and Golden responded to the rescue and set up a new rope system to lower the climber to the ground, Arvada fire officials said.

No injuries were reported, according to the agency.
“Rescues like this one, with a safe outcome for all involved, highlight why we train so thoroughly for any and all hazards,” Arvada officials wrote in the post.
