Denver pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run crash near Chaffee Park

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash near Denver’s Chaffee Park neighborhood early Saturday, police officials said.

The crash happened at 1:48 a.m. near 48th Avenue and Kalamath Street when a dark-colored Chevrolet Silverado hit a pedestrian, the Denver Police Department said in a Medina Alert.

The truck is believed to be a 2003-2007 model with Colorado license plates and a gray cab, black truck bed, blue tailgate and mismatched wheels on the driver’s side.

Investigators say the driver was a white or Hispanic male between 25 years old and 30 years old with dark hair.

Anyone with information about the crash or whereabouts of the Chevy should call 911 or the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000.
