The trooper pulled over a blue Saturn Outlook on Interstate 70 near Watkins shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Colorado State Patrol. The Saturn driver — who was driving in the left lane without passing other cars — stopped for the trooper in the left lane, and the trooper told her to move onto the shoulder, according to the agency.
As the two were parking on the shoulder, a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into the back of the trooper’s patrol vehicle, pushing it forward into the Saturn, state patrol officials said.
