Colorado’s 2027 recruiting class continues to grow.
On Sunday, CU and head coach Deion Sanders landed three more verbal commitments from high school stars. Drew Sapp, an edge rusher from Lakeland, Florida; Jayin Talib, an offensive lineman from Allen, Texas; and Coderro McDaniel, an offensive lineman from Brookhaven, Massachusetts, have all given their pledge to the Buffs.

CU now has 18 players verbally committed for the 2027 class.
Sapp, listed at 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, has 25 scholarship offers and has picked CU over Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and others. He’s rated as a three-star recruit by On3 and 247Sports.
As a junior last year at Lakeland High School, Sapp had 74 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.
McDaniel is rated a three-star by On3 and 247Sports. He has 13 scholarship offers and picked CU over Mississippi, LSU and others. The 6-foot-7, 325-pound McDaniel previously committed to Mississippi on April 20 before flipping to the Buffs.

Talib is the nephew of former Denver Broncos star cornerback Aqib Talib. He would be the second of Aqib Talib’s nephews to play at CU, as Yamil Talib is currently a defensive end with the Buffs.
Jayin Talib is a 6-3, 275-pound interior lineman who does not have a star rating from On3 or 247Sports, but he has 10 scholarship offers, including from North Carolina State and Texas Tech.
Talib played center for Allen High School, helping the Eagles to a 14-1 record and a trip to the Class 6A Division I state semifinals.
