The Glacier Gorge Parking area and Glacier Gorge Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closed for repairs during two periods beginning later this month, according to a news release from the park.
The area will be closed to all uses, including vehicle and shuttle bus access, Monday, Sept. 28, through Thursday, Oct. 1, and again Monday, Oct. 5, through Thursday, Oct. 8. It will reopen Friday through Sunday, Oct. 2-4, before closing again Oct. 5.
The repairs will address erosion damage around the trailhead kiosk and where the plaza area transitions to the Glacier Gorge Trail. The work is intended to stabilize the trail and adjacent infrastructure.

During the closures, visitors hiking to destinations including Alberta Falls, Mills Lake and Lock Vale will need to access those areas from the Bear Lake Trailhead.
