Denver officers uncovered a suspected drug lab while responding to a death investigation on the edge of the city’s Baker and Lincoln Park neighborhoods early Tuesday morning, police said.

Police responded to reports of an unresponsive person in the 600 block of Fox Street, near Sixth Avenue, at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, a spokesperson for the police department said. Officers found a person dead in the home, the spokesperson said.
During the investigation, officers also found what investigators believe to be a homemade drug lab, the spokesperson said.

It’s unknown what caused the person’s death or whether it was related to the lab.
The deceased will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner at a later date.
