A man died after he was hit by two vehicles while crossing an Aurora road Friday night.
The man was crossing South Peoria Street in the middle of the block, just south of East Tennessee Avenue, about 8:15 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle headed south on the road, police said. The 35-year-old was thrown into the northbound lanes of Peoria, where a second vehicle struck him. He died at the scene.

Both drivers stayed at the scene and were cooperating with investigators, police said.

The Arapahoe County coroner’s office will identify the man.
