Scattered thunderstorms may bring up to 2-inch hail and 60 mph winds to the Interstate 25 corridor and Eastern Plains on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Thunderstorms are most likely in the Denver area between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to hourly forecasts from the weather service. On the Eastern Plains, afternoon storms will be possible until late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, according to the weather service.
Heavy rain will threaten flash flooding in southern Colorado, especially in wildfire burn scars, weather service forecasters wrote in a hazardous weather outlook.

As of Wednesday morning, no severe thunderstorm watches or warnings had been issued for Colorado. A flash flood watch will go into effect for the Aspen Acres burn scar in Pueblo County at noon, according to the weather service.
