Denver police arrested three teenagers on suspicion of murder after a 19-year-old man was lured to a location in the southwest metro and shot to death, agency officials said Friday.
Officers responded to the shooting at 11:02 p.m. on Aug. 6 in the 4100 block of West Custer Place and found Maikel Garresquero Mavo with gunshot wounds in the passenger seat of a car that had crashed into a parked vehicle, according to the Denver Police Department.
Investigators believe Mavo was lured to the location, possibly because of a prior dispute, and when he and the driver arrived, three people quickly approached and started shooting.

The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified, fled on foot.
Police said they identified Davidson Semeco-Acurero, 18, as a suspect in the shooting, along with a 17-year-old male and 13-year-old female. All three were arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Information about Semeco-Acurero’s next court appearance was not immediately available.
