The five 17-year-old boys who died after their car crashed off a cliff and down a hillside in Grand Junction on Saturday were identified Wednesday by the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.

Tristan Tucker, William Simms, Tyler Kersey-Huffman, Titus Gould and Braden Taylor all died in the crash on Lookout Lane, according to the coroner’s office.
Grand Junction police officers and firefighters responded to the crash near 2694 Lookout Lane at about 7:45 a.m. Sunday. Coroner officials said the crash happened late Saturday night.

Two of the teenagers were not wearing seatbelts and were thrown from the car during the crash, according to the coroner’s office. The other three, including the driver and front-seat passenger, were wearing seatbelts, coroner officials said.
Investigators believe the boys were driving south on Lookout Lane when the car veered off the roadway. Limited information about the crash was available, but police said speed was being investigated as a factor.
