A teenage girl was fatally shot in western Aurora on Saturday and another juvenile was arrested in her death, police said.

Aurora officers responded to a shooting in the 9800 block of East Alabama Drive at about 10:20 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the police department.
That block is in Aurora’s Dayton Triangle neighborhood, city maps show.
When officers arrived, they found a teenage girl had been shot, police said. Paramedics took her to the hospital, where she died from her injuries, according to the release. She will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
An unidentified juvenile was arrested in connection with the shooting “a short time later,” police said.
Information about the events leading up to the shooting and the charges under investigation was not available on Sunday.
