Call Your Mother is plugging a hole in south Denver.

The “Jew-ish” deli will open a new location at 5074 E. Hampden Ave. in the Happy Canyon Shopping Center, according to permits filed with the city. The 1,500-square-foot space used to be home to a Starbucks, which closed in the fall as part of the national chain’s downsizing.

Documents estimate construction will cost $64,000 to line the space with Call Your Mother’s trademark pink, blue and yellow branding.

It’s the third local spot in the works for the Washington, D.C.-based chain, which is also expanding to both Golden and Denver’s Union Station neighborhood at 1607 Wewatta St.
