Northbound Yosemite Street was down to one lane Wednesday morning after a bear was hit by a car, according to Lone Tree officials.

The crash happened near Yosemite Street and Heritage Hills Parkway, Lone Tree spokesperson Melissa Gallegos said. The bear moved to the treeline on the east side of the road after being struck, she said.
Lone Tree police officers are working with Colorado Parks and Wildlife on the incident, Gallegos said.
