Thornton police arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of murder in an early morning shooting at a house party that killed a 44-year-old on Sunday.
The shooting happened inside a home in the 3600 block of East 91st Avenue at 1:45 a.m., the Thornton Police Department said in a news release.
Police found one victim shot inside the home, and he died after paramedics took him to the hospital. Investigators identified Cesar Licon Jr. as a suspect and arrested him Sunday night.

Thornton police have not said how detectives identified Licon as a suspect. He is in custody at the Adams County Jail and is being held without bail. His next court date was not available on Tuesday.

The victim will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
