Police shut it down.<\/p>\n<p>Videos posted Thursday morning to X show a Boulder police officer confronting one of the band\u2019s members on a stage. Goose itself posted a video showing that on Wednesday night, it played a pop-up gig in a Boulder backyard that appears to be the same place as the one seen in videos posted on social media showing the confrontation with police.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Need to leave this one on my feed @goosetheband <\/p>\n<p>Source: Goose Reddit pic.twitter.com\/AginQkTwje<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Goose the Band History\/Trivia (@GooseBandTrivia) August 27, 2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At that show, a Boulder police officer got on stage and stood next to Goose while the band played their seventh song, \u201cAnimal,\u201d according to reporting by Consequence Sound. One video posted to X shows the officer making the \u201cturn it off\u201d motion with his hand to his neck when a band member puts one finger up and continues playing.<\/p>\n<p>Boulder police responded to a noise complaint around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of 18th Street, according to spokesperson Jennifer Ciplet. Police arrived to find Goose\u2019s music causing all the noise, Ciplet wrote in an email, which prompted police to ask the band to shut down the music during what would become the last song of the set.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Police issued a municipal summons for a nuisance party to the resident who was hosting the event, Ciplet wrote. Noise complaints are common as University of Colorado Boulder students come back to the city for the new school year, she added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will admit that it\u2019s pretty awesome that a band as big as Goose showed up to play some backyard music in Boulder,\u201d Boulder police Chief Stephen Redfearn told the Daily Camera in an email. \u201cAt the same time, it is the duty of the Boulder Police Department to ensure that Boulder is a community where everyone\u2019s needs are balanced and respected when it comes to noise and large gatherings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/coloradospringsmoverss.com\/?p=4287\">Front Range Passenger Rail puts sales tax on ballot to fund Colorado Connector expansion<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Redfearn wrote that some officers at the police department, which shut down the party, enjoy Goose\u2019s music.<\/p>\n<p>Consequence Sound reported that by the time Goose finished \u201cAnimal,\u201d a track off their 2025 album \u201cEverything Must Go,\u201d 10 Boulder police officers were at the party.<\/p>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The band was set to play longer had police not ended the show, which started with local band Sunkissd playing a set as scheduled, Consequence Sound reported.<\/p>\n<p>Goose played its first show at Red Rocks on Thursday night, according to the band\u2019s Instagram.
