A pedestrian who was crossing back and forth through traffic on an Interstate 270 exit ramp in Commerce City was struck by a hit-and-run driver and killed Thursday night, according to Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n

The 45-year-old man was hit on the off-ramp from Interstate 270 to Interstate 76 around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses said the man was \u201cgoing back and forth across the roadway\u201d before he died, according to Colorado State Patrol.<\/p>\n

The driver who initially struck the man did not stop after the crash, investigators found. A second driver later struck the man\u2019s body on the ramp; that driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.<\/p>\n

The victim had not been publicly identified Friday and investigators have not said why he was on the exit ramp.<\/p>\n

Investigators were unable to provide a description of the vehicle that struck and killed the man.<\/p>\n
