Coach Williams and his staff develop great young women who represent the program, the university and the community with world-class excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 14 seasons at CSU, Williams has amassed 281 victories as he leads the Rams into the Pac-12 era in his 15th year. Last season, he guided his team to the Mountain West Conference tournament championship in the university\u2019s final year in the league. The tournament victory earned the team a berth in the NCAA Tournament, where the Rams nearly upset fifth-seeded Michigan State.<\/p>\n<p>Williams took over CSU\u2019s women\u2019s basketball program in 2012-13 and began to turn the program around in just his second season. Under Williams, the Rams won four consecutive MWC regular season titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2015-16, one of eight postseason appearances.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/coloradospringsmoverss.com\/?p=3876\">Vail announces 2026-27 opening dates for its Colorado ski resorts<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Rams have won at least 20 games in each of the past five seasons and Williams has led CSU to 10 seasons with 20 or more victories as well as two of the school\u2019s top three winningest seasons (2015-16, 31 wins; 2025-26, 27 wins).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an honor and a privilege to be the head women\u2019s basketball coach at Colorado State University,\u201d Williams said. \u201cMy family and I are extremely thankful for the continued opportunity to lead this program, specifically with an exciting new era in front of us. CSU is the most amazing place with incredible people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams was twice named the MWC head coach of the year (2014, 2016) and left the league tied for the most regular-season conference victories with 159.
