Aurora police were investigating a homicide on Sunday, after a man was found dead on a sidewalk in the city\u2019s Dayton Triangle neighborhood, according to the department.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive man lying on a sidewalk near East Warren Avenue and South Galena Street shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the man, an unidentified 49-year-old, had been shot hours earlier. He died before law enforcement arrived on scene, police said.<\/p>\n

The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n

As of Sunday afternoon, no suspects had been publicly identified or arrested in the shooting, which police are investigating as a homicide.<\/p>\n
