A popular Italian restaurant in northwest Denver is closed indefinitely after an electrical fire sparked earlier this week, according to the owners.<\/p>\n

Parisi and Parisi Sotto in Denver\u2019s Berkeley neighborhood will be closed until further notice for repairs, restaurant officials announced Tuesday. The building at 4401 Tennyson St. had no power, gas or water on Tuesday, and the roof was damaged during the firefight, according to the restaurant.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gutted right now,\u201d a statement from the restaurant on social media read. \u201cThis place (building and biz) is like my first born. \u2026 We will be back, but just not sure yet how long it will take.\u201d<\/p>\n

A video posted by the restaurant on Wednesday showed debris, ash and water strewn across the dining room. Plaster that had fallen from the ceiling piled on the floor, and water-damaged paint peeled and stretched.<\/p>\n

The electrical fire sparked in the crawlspace between the ceiling and the rooftop, restaurant officials said in the video touring the damage. Photos posted to social media by community members showed smoke wafting from the roof and firefighters digging into the structure to access the flames.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s bad,\u201d the video caption stated. \u201cBut could have been so much worse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additional information about the fire and when the restaurant is expected to reopen was not available Thursday morning. <\/p>\n
