On June 28, 1969, riots broke out following a police raid at the Stonewall Inn, an LGBTQ+ bar in New York\u2019s Greenwich Village neighborhood, leading to six days of violent protests that served as a watershed moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement.<\/p>\n
