The construction worker who died after he was found unresponsive at the site of the new Denver Broncos training facility last week has been identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Sven Eryk Johnson, 31, was found unresponsive at the site of the Denver Broncos\u2019 new training facility on June 15, according to the Arapahoe County Coroner\u2019s Office. As of Friday, when the coroner publicly identified the man, his cause and manner of death remained under investigation.<\/p>\n

A coworker found Johnson \u201cin a confined ceiling area\u201d at the construction site, 13409 E. Broncos Parkway, at about 8:20 p.m. on June 15. The man was declared dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

Johnson was described in his obituary as \u201can incredible light\u201d and \u201ca genuine down-to-earth soul with the kind of presence that drew people in and made them feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had a contagious smile, laugh, and eyes that lit up for the things and people he cherished, especially his niece and nephew,\u201d his obituary read. \u201cCreative, artistic, and deeply passionate, Sven was an old soul and a deep thinker who loved fiercely and lived fully. To know him was to love him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old was born and raised in Michigan before becoming an electrician. He was an avid hockey player, loved the outdoors and could often be found hiking, camping, biking or \u201csimply embracing whatever adventure life had to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson is survived by his fianc\u00e9e, his siblings, his niece and nephew and his parents, according to the obituary.<\/p>\n

Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials confirmed last week that an investigation had been opened into Johnson\u2019s death. OSHA has 6 months to complete the investigation, spokesperson Tiffany Koebel said.<\/p>\n

The Broncos planned to start relocating their offices and operations to the new facility this month, with the move-in process scheduled to be completed before the start of the team\u2019s training camp in late July.<\/p>\n

As of last week, construction at the site had been suspended amid the ongoing investigation. Turner Construction Company, the firm leading construction at the site, did not immediately respond to questions about whether work had resumed on Monday.<\/p>\n
