Federal safety officials are investigating the death of a construction worker at the Denver Broncos\u2019 new training facility in Arapahoe County.<\/p>\n

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has opened an investigation into the construction worker\u2019s death, said Chauntra Rideaux, regional director of the U.S. Department of Labor\u2019s Office of Public Affairs for Denver and Dallas, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore details will be available after the investigation is complete,\u201d Rideaux said.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unknown how long the investigation will take.<\/p>\n

Workers found the man, who has not been publicly identified, \u201cin a confined ceiling area\u201d at the construction site at 13409 E. Broncos Parkway at about 8:20 p.m. Monday, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff\u2019s Office. The man was declared dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Turner Construction Company, the firm leading construction at the site, confirmed work at the site, which is closed, remained suspended amid the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to support all investigations into the incident, including OSHA\u2019s,\u201d Christopher McFadden, Turner\u2019s senior vice president of global communications, wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n

The Arapahoe County Coroner\u2019s Office will identify the man after his next of kin have been notified, spokesperson Jessica Ward-Gifford said in an email to The Denver Post. As of Tuesday, his cause and manner of death had not been determined.<\/p>\n

The Denver Broncos were expected to relocate their offices and operations to the new facility in the coming days. The move-in process was scheduled to be completed before the start of the team\u2019s training camp in late July.<\/p>\n
