{"id":1627,"date":"2026-06-16T04:04:37","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T04:04:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coloradospringsmoverss.com\/?p=1627"},"modified":"2026-06-16T04:04:37","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T04:04:37","slug":"rod-stewart-postpones-red-rocks-concerts-today-and-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coloradospringsmoverss.com\/?p=1627","title":{"rendered":"Rod Stewart postpones Red Rocks concerts today and Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div><strong>Getting your Trinity Audio player ready&#8230;<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>British singer Rod Stewart won\u2019t perform at Red Rocks Amphitheatre today or tomorrow, following a last-minute cancellation.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/coloradospringsmoverss.com\/?p=1625\">Did Denver miss out by not going all out to host World Cup?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The venue received word on Monday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. that Stewart\u2019s shows, slated for Monday and Tuesday, \u201care postponed,\u201d said Brian Kitts, a spokesman for Denver Arts &amp; Venues, the city agency that oversees the Morrison venue.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to postpone the shows was made after Stewart visited the Colorado Voice Clinic on Monday and was prescribed vocal rest, according to a statement from show promoter Live Nation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvaluation revealed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal folds, making it impossible for him to safely perform without the risk of further injury and potential long-term damage to his voice,\u201d the statement said. \u201cRod is deeply disappointed and sincerely apologizes to his fans for this inconvenience. He looks forward to returning to the stage as soon as he is medically cleared.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The shows have been rescheduled for Sept. 2 and Sept. 3, 2027, and tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date, Live Nation said.<\/p>\n<p>Red Rocks had been expected to celebrate the 85th anniversary of its June 15, 1941, grand opening and dedication on Monday, according to its website.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/coloradospringsmoverss.com\/?p=1623\">8 people presumed dead after B-52 bomber crashes at US Air Force base in Southern California<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re always disappointed to lose a show.
