Near-record temperatures are forecast for Denver midweek as temperatures crawl into the upper 90s, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n

Afternoon temperatures are expected to reach 96 degrees at Denver International Airport on Wednesday, four degrees shy of the city\u2019s 100-degree record for June 17, according to the weather service. That record was set in 2021.<\/p>\n

The city will reach 90 degrees as early as noon on Wednesday, hit peak heat around 4 p.m. and drop back below 90 degrees after 7 p.m., according to hourly forecasts from the weather service.<\/p>\n

Further south, near Buckley Space Force Base, temperatures are expected to reach 99 degrees on Wednesday, according to the weather service.<\/p>\n
