Three weeks after a bicyclist was struck and killed in an Aurora hit-and-run, the suspected driver turned himself in, police said.
A wrong-way driver intentionally crashed on Interstate 70 near the Utah border last month, killing herself and injuring six others, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
State patrol troopers responded to the crash on northbound I-25 at milepost 215, near East 58th Avenue, at about 5:25 a.m. Monday.
Tristan Tucker, William Simms, Tyler Kersey-Huffman, Titus Gould and Braden Taylor all died in the crash on Lookout Lane, according to the Mesa County Coroner’s Office.
Westbound I-70 was closed for a crash between Exit 216 for Loveland Pass and Colorado 9, according to CDOT. The eastbound lanes were closed for safety concerns.
Investigators believe the car was headed southbound on Lookout Lane when it veered off the road in Grand Junction and crashed, police said.
Four people were injured Sunday in a head-on collision near East 100th Avenue and Riverdale Road, according to the Thornton Fire Department.
The fatal crash happened Saturday evening near Tower Road and 69th Avenue in northeast Denver, police said.
A pedestrian was injured Tuesday night after being hit by a bus in Denver, temporarily shutting down part of East Colfax Avenue, police said.
