Where to see Colorado Air National Guard flyovers on Memorial Day 2026

The Colorado Air National Guard will take to the skies Monday to honor the state’s fallen military members.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon jets from the 140th Wing will zoom over cemeteries and a VFW post across the state. Flights begin at 10:12 a.m.

The schedule is:

  • Linn Grove Cemetery – Greeley at 10:12 a.m.
  • Veterans Memorial Park – Silver Cliff at 10:36 a.m.
  • Homelake Cemetery – Homelake at 10:43 a.m.
  • Silverton Memorial Park – Silverton at 10:56 a.m.
  • VFW Post 4031 – Durango at 11:02 a.m.
  • Nucla Cemetery – Nucla  at 11:13 a.m.
  • Western Colorado Veterans Cemetery – Grand Junction at 11:24 a.m.
  • Town of Grand Lake – Grand Lake at 11:48 a.m.
  • Fort Logan National Cemetery – Denver at 11:58 a.m.

The flyovers serve as a tribute to people who died while serving in the U.S. armed forces and to show support for local communities. The flights are considered training for the pilots, according to a news release from the Coloraod Air National Guard.

“Our Memorial Day flyovers are a way to honor the ultimate sacrifice of our fallen service members,” said Col. Benjamin Couchman, 140th Wing commander, said in the news release. “These flyovers are a deeply personal way for us to connect with the communities we serve. We stand with our neighbors in reflection, honoring the high cost of freedom and ensuring those who gave everything are never forgotten.”
