A minor was shot and killed in a Thursday night shooting in northeast Denver, police said.

Denver Police responded to a shooting in the 15000 block of E. 53rd Ave. and found a juvenile male victim, who was later pronounced dead at the scene, police said in social media posts.
Police wrote they were working to identify a possible suspect. As of Friday morning, police had not released additional information about the shooting.
The killing was the second fatal shooting in the area Thursday. Police had responded to another killing near the intersection of 49th and Peoria Street shortly after midnight Thursday.
