Hundreds of flights headed in and out of Denver International Airport were delayed on Saturday, as arrivals were grounded amid thunderstorms.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued the ground delay at DIA about 4 p.m. Saturday, citing thunderstorms in the Denver area. The delay was expected to last through 8 p.m., according to the FAA.
As of 5:40 p.m., 477 flights arriving at and departing from DIA had been delayed, and 10 had been canceled, according to flight-tracking software FlightAware.

Delays included 175 United flights, 147 Southwest flights, 86 SkyWest flights, 19 American Airlines flights, 16 Delta flights, and 21 Frontier flights, according to FlightAware. Another five airlines delayed between one and five flights.
Southwest canceled three flights, United canceled three flights, American canceled two flights and Envoy Air canceled two flights, FlightAware data shows.
