As announced Thursday morning, the Buffs will have plenty more chances to gain some momentum ahead of the Big 12 Conference schedule.
Colorado has nine home games as part of its 14-game nonconference slate, beginning November 2 with a date against Abilene Christian at the CU Events Center. A previously announced game at San Diego State — aptly named the Bill Walton Classic — follows Nov. 7, and then CU will return to Boulder to host San Diego on Nov. 10.
Though Colorado will go from coast to coast in November with games at Providence and as part of the Acrisure Series in California, the program will then see six of seven games back in Boulder before the end of the calendar year.
Regional matchups with Colorado State (Dec. 5) and Denver (Dec. 29) highlight that stretch of home games. Other teams the Buffs will host include UTEP, Central Arkansas, Cal Poly and North Dakota. Central Arkansas won the Atlantic Sun Conference regular season title last season with a 22-12 record.

The Buffs will be challenged on the road. In addition to playing the Boilermakers, CU’s opening Acrisure Series game against Stanford features a Cardinal team that went 20-13 last year, and a second game in Palm Desert would include either Saint Louis (29-6; Atlantic 10 Conference champs) or Grand Canyon (20-12). SDSU went 22-11 last season.
All game times — with the exception of a 10 p.m. MT tip against the Cardinal — will be announced at a later date, as will the dates and times for the Big 12 schedule.
