A pedestrian was fatally struck on Interstate 25 in Denver early Saturday after exiting a stalled vehicle, police said.

The Denver Police Department first posted about the crash on northbound I-25 near Auraria Parkway at 5:03 a.m.
Investigators believe the victim exited a stalled vehicle and was hit by oncoming traffic, police said. The pedestrian, who will be identified by the Denver medical examiner’s office, died at the scene, police said.
