1 dead, 3 injured in two Denver double shootings

One person died and three others were injured in two separate Denver shootings on Sunday, police said.

The fatal shooting happened in the 1100 block of Columbine Street in Denver, according to a 9:58 a.m. social media post from the Denver Police Department. Paramedics took two people to the hospital, where one man later died from his injuries, police said.

The man killed in the shooting will be identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. His death is under investigation as a homicide, police said.

Denver officers responded to the second shooting in the 8000 block of East 12th Avenue early Sunday morning, according to a 1:31 a.m. post from the police department. Paramedics took two unidentified people to the hospital with unknown injuries, police said.

Information about the events leading up to both shootings and whether suspects had been identified was not immediately available on Sunday.
