Workers found the man “in a confined ceiling area” at around 8:20 p.m. at the construction site at 13409 E. Broncos Parkway, sheriff’s officials said in a news release. South Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene and were able to access the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Turner Construction Company, the firm leading construction at the site, said work at the site has been suspended while the investigation is ongoing.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the worker’s family, loved ones, friends, and colleagues during this very difficult time,” Christopher McFadden, senior VP of global communications, wrote in the statement. “This is a heartbreaking loss for the worker’s family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and all those impacted by this tragedy.”

This is a developing story.
