5 injured in 4 separate overnight shootings, Denver police say

Denver police are investigating four shootings that injured five people in the city on Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to the department.

The first shooting happened Saturday night in the 4700 block of Airport Way, according to a 10:28 p.m. post from the Denver Police Department. One person was injured and taken to the hospital.

Two more people were shot Sunday morning in the 300 block of Santa Fe Drive and took themselves to the hospital, police said at 4:50 a.m. Sunday.

Police announced a third shooting was under investigation near East Colfax Avenue and Dahlia Street just after 5 a.m. Sunday. One person was injured, police said.

A fifth person was injured Sunday morning in a shooting in the 1300 block of North Speer Boulevard, according to a 9:11 a.m. post from the Denver Police Department.

Additional information about the shootings was not available on Sunday, including the events leading up to each and whether any suspects have been identified or arrested. Updates on the victims’ conditions were not immediately available.
